Totally related to
Heart of the Dead... as in, they're all the same characters, but SUBTLY DIFFERENT.
Whereas the original designs of Hea
rt of the Dead were simpler, cuter, meant for a pre-teen romantic comedy sort of setting, these HEATed designs are sexier,
darker and edgier, meant more for an action setting. I got the idea after watching One Piece for a while, haha.
I am fully prepared for people to hate these designs and prefer the old ones, as well as for people to love these over the old ones, or anything in between. I can't say either version is the "real" design for these characters, as I can't say I'll be doing anything with them either way. It was an
experiment in character design. A fun one!
